Eligibility

Q: Am I eligible to walk in the commencement?

A: Students who have completed their degree in summer 2025, fall 2025 or expect to complete their degree in spring 2026 or Summer 2026 will be invited to participate.

Q: What are the steps I must complete to participate in the commencement ceremony?

A: Apply for graduation by March 13, 2026 at 11:59pm.

Q: How do I know if I am graduating with honors?

A: Honors at the college commencement will be awarded to students with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. * All lower-division, degree-applicable courses, units, and grades earned by students at Ãå±±½ûµØ and other colleges and universities are included in calculating grade point averages for graduation and academic honors. Official transcripts or documents are required before degrees can be awarded.

Q: How can I apply to be the 2026 commencement class speaker?

A: Graduates may apply for class speaker by the posted deadline and participate in auditions if selected. Subject to minimum requirements.

RSVP for Commencement

Q: How do I RSVP for commencement?

A: Apply for graduation and, if eligible, you will receive an email invitation to RSVP.

Q: When can I RSVP?

A: After applying and being found eligible. The RSVP deadline is April 10.

Q: What if I have disability or need an accommodation?

A: Contact our ACCESS department.

Q: What should I do if I was unable to RSVP?

Q: Does the college have additional graduation celebrations?

A: Yes. Several celebration events are offered; attendance is optional. Check directly with your program to find out more details.

Q: How many guest tickets will I receive?

A: Graduates will receive 7 tickets for guests

Q: After I RSVP, where do I pick up my guest tickets?

A: Details will be sent via email in April.

Q: Can I get my tickets mailed or sent electronically?

A: Details will be included in your April email.

Q: Will additional guest tickets be available?

A: No additional tickets will be distributed.

Prepare for Commencement

Q: Is there a rehearsal I should attend?

A: No rehearsal. Instructions are provided by email and during check‑in.

Q: Will my name appear in the commencement program?

A: Yes, if you applied by the March 13th deadline.

Q: What is Grad Fair?

A: A one‑stop event to purchase regalia and complete commencement preparations.

Q: When is Grad Fair?

A: Events are scheduled across campuses in May; details are emailed to students.

Q: What if I can’t attend Grad Fair?

A: Students can contact our ASB Office for more details.

Q: Where do I purchase graduation announcements?

A: Through the Ãå±±½ûµØ Bookstore.

Q: When is the Transfer Award Celebration and how can I attend?

A: The event will be held on May 21, 2026 time TBD. Contact Transfer Center

Dress Code

Q: What should I wear for commencement?

A: Dress appropriately and wear college‑approved regalia (cap, gown, tassel).

Q: Where can I purchase regalia?

A: At Grad Fair or through the Campus Store.

Q: Are non‑college regalia items allowed?

A: No. Only college‑approved regalia is permitted.

Q: Can I decorate my graduation cap?

A: Yes, as long as decorations are respectful. Gowns may not be decorated.

Commencement Day

Q: What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

A: Arrive 60 minutes early.

Q: Can I sit with friends during the ceremony?

A: Yes, if you line up together.

Q: What happens if I arrive late?

A: You may not process with friends or sit next to them.

Q: How long does the ceremony last?

A: Approximately three hours; participants may not leave early.

Q: Where can I put personal belongings?

A: Do not bring belongings; there is no storage area.

Q: Will the ceremony be available online?

A: Yes, a live stream will be available.

Q: Will pictures be taken?

A: Yes, photos are taken before and during the ceremony and available later.

Q: Do I have to pay for parking?

A: Lost tickets cannot be reissued.

A: Parking opens at 3:00 p.m.; doors open at 4:00 p.m.

Q: Will I receive my diploma at the ceremony?

A: No. Diplomas are mailed 3–4 months after posting.
